Sales Director Italy

Location: Italy

Bericap Group is active in the development, manufacturing and selling of plastic caps and closures for beverage (carbonated soft drinks, water, juices, teas), food (edible oil, vinegar, sauces, ketchup, milk) and industrial markets (automotive liquids, agrochemicals and chemicals). Bericap runs 24 plants in 21 countries and employs more than 3.500 people. Group revenue has reached 800 mln EUR in 2018.

Bericap Italy represents the interest of Bericap in Italy and small neighbouring countries like Albania and Malta. In addition Bericap Italy is the first contact for the numerous filling line manufacturers in Italy which export worldwide and request from time to time closure recommendations from Bericap. Bericap Italy has a small team consisting of 3 sales persons, 2 administrative persons in the back office and 1 technician for technical services. The team is led by the country director. The team of Bericap Italy has realized an impressive growth over the last 10 years and is set to grow further.

Your profile

  • You have professional experience in B2B sales, preferably in plastics packaging, but also in other areas like cardboard packaging, glue, and labels or any other mid tech. Sales experience with filling line or packaging manufacturer can be also a good start. 
  • A technical education preferably engineering degree is a good prerequisite and a strong interest for technology is rounds off your profile. 
  • Your strength is to pay attention to details, especially technical details, which is mandatory for the sale of caps and closures. 
  • You speak English fluently. 
  • You are a dynamic personality, eager to drive the success of the team with hands-on mentality and good ability to communicate. 
  • You are between 35 and 45 years old. 

Your tasks

  • Selling of closures to our customers in Italy of the beverage, food or industrial markets
  • Regular customer visits in their headquarters and filling plants
  • Price negotiations in agreement with the country director and the supplying Bericap plant
  • Eventually complaint handling
  • Project management for introduction of a new product at the customer or closure
    development in cooperation with technical resources of the group enrich the job.
